The act of coming together has never been more important than it is today. When we come together as a community to listen and learn from each other, we have the power to impact both neighborhoods and lives. That’s what On the Table is all about. While we know that there’s no “quick-fix” to the issues facing our region, progress will result from residents and organizations working to make contributions that add up to a greater solution that helps unite the place we call home.
On September 26, 2017, we invite you to share the ways in which you are working to make positive changes in your community and how we as individuals and a collective can support efforts to better Lake County. Following the meal, you will be asked to share feedback and key takeaways from your conversations through a short survey. Legacy Foundation will use the results to further support good works and address concerns.
Legacy Foundation is one of 10 community foundations across the U.S. replicating the On the Table initiative this year with funding from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. Support for On the Table is one part of Knight Foundation’s efforts to help cities attract and keep talented people, expand economic opportunity and create a culture of civic engagement. The Knight Foundation believes that successful communities are equitable, inclusive and participatory.
